Our Cocoa Butter is somewhat firmer at room temperature than Shea Butter. To soften, gently melt with heat. We recommend adding your favorite carrier oil to the butter. It can also be used in recipes to thicken or add body to salves, balms, or creams.
Cocoa Butter is also used to make chocolate. It is the natural fat of the cacao bean, extracted in the process of making cocoa powder or chocolate. It is solid at room temperature but has a melting point of about 34–38 °C (93–100 °F).
