Kokum Butter is obtained from the fruit kernels of the Indian kokum tree (Garcinia indica). Our kokum butter is cold-pressed and unrefined, extracted without the use of chemicals or solvents to preserve its natural fatty-acid profile and performance. It is naturally white to off-white in color with a very mild, neutral scent, making it ideal for cosmetic and personal-care formulations.

To ensure cleanliness and consistency, the butter is gently melted and filtered to remove natural impurities, without altering its natural structure or properties. This process does not involve deodorization, bleaching, or chemical refining.

Kokum butter is known for its exceptionally uniform triglyceride composition, consisting of up to 80% stearic-oleic-stearic (SOS) triglycerides. It is solid at room temperature, melts readily upon contact with the skin, and is one of the hardest and most stable vegetable butters available. It contributes firmness, stability, and a smooth, non-greasy feel to formulations.
